Being a Saint in the World

Product Overview

The crisis within today’s society is the lack of saints, not only within the Church, but also within the world. Fr. Jerry Gehringer reminds us that we are called to sanctity. To be a saint, we don’t need to be absolutely extraordinary individuals, but ordinary people striving for holiness daily. A modern example is Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, who was a lay university student and, in a natural way, strived for holiness within his own social context. He had a tremendous love for the people around him, looking after his friends and caring for the poor. Fr. Gehringer points out the beginning of sanctification starts by being in the state of grace. Although results may not be apparent over night, over time the fruits will eventuate, but we must be persistent. This talk will inspire people to confidently aim for holiness and sanctification.
