Product Overview
The essays collected in this book are the fruit of a seminar for spiritual directors and seminary professors sponsored by The Institute for Priestly Formation at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. The essays focus specifically on the relationship between spiritual direction and seminary theological teaching. As such, they mark the beginning of an ongoing collaboration that seeks, on the one hand, to probe the insights of magisterial teaching on the relationship between these two important disciplines and, on the other hand, to enrich the efforts of spiritual directors and theology professors in the process.
Praise for Seminary Theology II
“This book continues and deepens the conversation that seminaries need to have about how spirituality informs all aspects of priestly formation. I highly recommend this book as essential reading for all seminary theologians and spiritual directors.”
“A development in the processes of seminary formation has taken an important step forward with the publication of this book. Seminary faculties that integrate both intellectual conversion and spiritual receptivity are bound to form seminarians after the heart of Jesus, capable of revealing his transforming love throughout their priestly lives.”
